Get to Know Us
Welcome to Spikers Club Volleyball! Established in 2024, Spikers Club Volleyball is dedicated to nurturing talent, building strong, confident athletes, and driving competitive success. Our mission is to empower young girls through high-level training, teamwork, and a passion for the game. Let's grow, compete, and rise-together!
General Information
If you’re new to the world of club volleyball, you’re not alone — most families are just starting to explore what it’s all about and whether it’s the right fit for their athlete.
Club volleyball gives players a chance to continue building their skills once the recreational Fall season is over. At Spikers, our season runs from November through April. Spots on our teams are limited and tryouts are required. Tryouts for the 2026-2027 season will take place in August. Our travel teams practice 2-3 times a week and compete in mostly one-day tournaments on the weekends, with the exception of (1) two-day regional tournament and (1) two-day national tournament with required overnight stays in York, PA & Ocean City, MD, and possibly Atlantic City NJ respectively.
Maybe your athlete played during our Fall recreation season and had a blast — or maybe she joined us this past May clinic to learn a little more about the game and fell in love. Either way, club volleyball is a great way to grow. Players meet new teammates, build confidence, and stay active in a competitive, supportive environment.
We want to be upfront: joining a club team is a HUGE commitment. There’s a financial investment, time spent at practices and tournaments, and an expectation that players show up ready to give their best efforts at all times. But in return, players gain not only skills, but teamwork, resilience, and confidence they’ll carry with them far beyond the court.
If your child is interested in taking their passion for volleyball to the next level — Spikers Club Volleyball is a great place to start!
Your Investment
At our club, we prioritize transparency regarding costs. We pride ourselves on being the most affordable option in the area, but we recognize our fees represent a significant investment. Our club fee of $1,500.00/player covers: tournament entry fees, athlete's uniform package, state-of-the-art training equipment, and gym fees. For those who need it, we offer a convenient payment plan to help secure your spot. With this investment, we require full dedication and commitment from both players and their parents or guardians to ensure a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Please note:
-
Club fees do not include one-time tryout fee ($25.00).
-
Club fees do not include mandatory overnight stays or travel expenses.
-
Transportation to/from practices & tournaments is not provided by the organization.
-
Additionally, if selected, players must renew or obtain their AAU membership at an additional cost.

Tryouts are a stressful process; however, we try to make it as comfortable for both players and parents as possible. Some clubs may allow players to play "up", we do not. We encourage players to play in their age group - your appropriate age group is determined based on your birthday. If you have any questions regarding your player's age group, please contact Director Gary Funk via phone (856-491-0951) prior to tryouts!
WHAT DOES THE TRYOUT PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
-
Registration Form is required.
-
Check In begins 20 minutes prior to their scheduled tryout time. Players will head to the check in table, pay their tryout fee, and receive a number to pin onto their shirt.
-
Tryouts are closed to the public meaning only the player trying out for the team is allowed to enter the gym. Parents/Guardians please wait outside or in your vehicles. Tryouts will run for approximately (1) hour.
-
Coaches will bring players into the gym when we are ready for them! Once inside, coaches will lead players through a quick stretch to ensure players are ready to play and preventing the risk of injury.
-
Players will be guided through various station rotations and will be scored on skill, including but not limited to: serving, setting, and passing.
-
If time allows, we will trial game play and score players based on sportsmanship, team work, communication, hustle, and coachability.
-
At the conclusion of each tryout session, we ask that all parents/guardians remain outside of the gym. We will have someone escorting the players back outside once they are done.

After the tryout sessions, we will email you with a follow up with one of two things by the end of business day Wednesday September 24, 2025:
-
A notice that your child has made the club team, and instructions on how to accept the spot
-
A notice that your child did not make the club team this season.
**Please be sure to check SPAM/JUNK folders - emails will be sent to ALL PARTICIPANTS regarding club status. Please refrain from contacting the organization regarding club status.**
